Dear Members,
February’s dinner was a full house for our guest speaker Jason Tarry, Chairman of The John Lewis Partnership, and former CEO of Tesco UK & Ireland. Jason gave us a very personal and candid story of his career, the ups and the downs, and his tips for leading with kindness. It was a perfect example of the personal stories behind the headlines which I have endeavoured to uncover during my season as your Chair.
Our next dinner is on 4th March, when our guest speaker will be supermodel and entrepreneur David Gandy. David is an eloquent speaker on the topic of curating his personal brand, and remains to this day perhaps the only male model with name recall. It is already proving to be a very popular event and is expected to be a sell out, so please book now to avoid missing out. Book Event
May I also take this moment to remind members of their commitment to attend several dinners a year. We depend on your attendance in order to have a thriving (and solvent!) club. With only 5 dinners left this year, members are kindly requested to book ahead. To enable you, we have now opened booking for all the dinners until the summer break.
Amongst the speakers for later in the season are Allison Kirkby, the first female CEO of BT, and Irene Tracey CBE, Professor of Neuroscience and Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, so there is something for every taste, from models to business leaders to educationalists.
