March update

They’ve only just finished the washing up after last night’s insightful dinner with Alex Ricard and yet here I am already – in your inboxes nice and early, sharing details of a bumper April for the MGGB.
Our next Claridge’s dinner sees us swing into election mode on Wednesday 1st April with a truly expert panel: Patrick Winter from the Guardian, Philip Collins from the Times, Tom Bradbury from ITN, Stephan Shakespeare from YouGov and Nick Ferrari from LBC will be discussing the election. And if this sagely, talkative bunch let him get a word in, Torin Douglas will be steering things as Chair. The panel will be discussing the likely results as well as the impact of social media on the outcome. Do let Clare or me know any questions you have for the panel in advance!
As we return from Easter we have an event at The Marketing Academy at Google’s London offices in High Holburn on Wednesday 15th April, 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Founder Sherilyn Shackell will chair a panel of four Marketing Academy alumni to discuss Generation Y and how senior marketing leaders can create a strong, robust industry for the future.
We have our breakfast in London Bridge with Joanna Lumley and Thomas Heatherwick – the driving forces behind the proposals for the new Garden Bridge – which will round off the month nicely on Monday 27th April. They’ll be discussing their plans for this new tourist attraction – controversial for some – in the heart of Central London.
All these events are available to book online now, or via Clare. I look forward to seeing you there!
Looking ahead to May: in addition to our dinner with Richard Scudamore on Wednesday 6th May I’m also working on a smaller additional event with Sir Ben Ainslie and Sir Keith Mills for the evening of Tuesday May 19th – together they’re bringing sailing’s America’s Cup to the UK. Please do let me know this week if you are interested in attending as we will need to identify the right venue at the right size .
Very best wishes,
Andria
