Our next dinner is on February 3 when we welcome the Chief Executive of the RBS Group, Ross McEwan, as our guest speaker.
A New Zealander, Ross was appointed CEO of RBS in October 2013, and has attracted attention on a number of counts, not least in February of this year when he announced he would forgo a share award worth £1m saying that he did not want his pay package to “be a distraction from the task of building a great bank”.
Ross is known to be a lively, outspoken orator, and promises to offer a properly heavyweight start to the new year. I look forward to seeing you there.
We also have our first Emeritus lunch on Tuesday 19th January at Scotts in Mayfair. Lady Dianne Thompson DBE will be our guest speaker.
