As I approach the end of my season as your Chairman, I’m delighted to say that we’ve still got two dinners left before our summer break.
The first is a very special members dinner in the fantastic surroundings of The Long Room at Lords on Wednesday 28th June. As well as enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the world famous clubhouse (and a private tour for those that would like to see more) we’ll be joined by the ex-England Captain, Graham Gooch OBE.
Graham captained the England side twice in the late 1980s and early 1990s and is known as one of the most successful international batsmen of his generation. Still closely involved with the sport, I’m sure you will be looking forward to hearing from him as much as I am.
Given this is a special dinner, we’ll be limiting attendance to members plus two guests so please do get booking right away!
For our last dinner of the season on Wednesday 5th July we will be back in the splendid surroundings of Claridge’s to hear from one of the most prominent FTSE 100 CEOs, the boss of Diageo, Ivan Menezes.
Ivan has led Diageo since 2013, having previously been their COO. Given their world famous brands, changes in the beverages industry in recent years, and an ever shifting consumer base, I have no doubt that we’re in for a fascinating evening. Rumour has it that there may also be a chance to sample some product! Do get booking now for our final dinner of the season.
