Dear members,
It was fantastic to welcome Ivan Menezes, the CEO of Diageo, to our final dinner of the season last week. His insight into the lessons he learns from the emerging markets, his style of humble leadership, and his passion for his company made for a wonderful evening and conclusion to our 2016/17 season.
It has been an absolute pleasure to have served as your Chairman for the last year. Our club is a wonderful community and I step down more confident than ever in the people of marketing and our collective ability to do great things.
I now hand over to Jude Bridge who has already got a wonderful list of interesting, challenging and engaging speakers for our next season, and I’ll be sitting cheering her, and the club’s, future success on from the back tables.
But for now, I hope you have a great summer with your families and friends and I look forward to seeing you in September.
