Happy New year everyone, I hope you are all feeling truly refreshed and not suffering too much RFEO (relative, friends and entertaining overdose)
Just before the Christmas break I was informed that unfortunately due to unexpected personal circumstances Moya Greene was unable to talk to us all at Claridges on February 3rd.
Before I could begin to worry about everyone that had already emailed me to say how much they were looking forward to the evening, Moya confirmed she is only postponing the dinner and she will now be joining us in Oct 2015.
So what to do in February?
Wanting to be topical I thought of the areas that might be top of mind for you all in early Jan…. No alcohol, healthier lifestyle and of course my all-time favourite – planning my next HOLIDAY.
I am delighted to tell you that Peter Long, Joint CEO, of TUI will be joining us at Claridges on February 4th.
The merger between TUI AG and TUI Travel PLC in December 2014 created the world’s number one integrated leisure tourism group serving over 30 million customers in 31 source markets and employing 77,000 across the globe.
Peter, promises to not only tell us a little about why scale and differentiation is so important to this business but also about how it balances maximising the positive social and economic impacts of tourism in destinations with minimising its environmental impacts. Peter will share how the company plans to deliver on both its growth and sustainability aims
For those of you who like me are attempting a dry January – I look forward to joining you for a drink on February 4th. See you then.
PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday 28th January MGGB Lunch at the BT Tower with Mary Portas . Get your tickets online as places filling very fast.
FYI. From February Claridges have increased their cost per head for dinner by £3.00 + vat.
