I must open this month’s letter with huge thanks to Phil Smith for hosting last week’s dinner. And for handling the last-minute change of speaker with such aplomb. Happy to report that he is still looking forward to taking up the role of Chair next season!
I am very much looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Monday 2nd July for what will be our final dinner of the season – and my last as your Chair. What an evening it promises to be. Tristram Hunt has an ambitious and inspiring vision for the V&A and the role it can play in presenting a positive image of brand Britain, and I’m delighted he can join us.
Fingers crossed the sun continues to shine as we take pre- dinner drinks in the stunning John Madejski garden, followed by dinner in the spectacular Dome space. I know many of you have already booked – but if you haven’t – get to it!! Dress code is lounge suits and it’s a members plus 2 guests event.
