Dear Members
The final dinner of the season was tennis, ‘but not as you know it Jim’, and made for a provocative, insightful even inspiring evening. And lots of fun. It was great to see those of you who could make it.
I am handing off to David Wheldon now – your new Chair – so I will leave him to send the tantalising trailers of next season. Based on his list last night, its looking very exciting.
I would like to say some thank yous: to Council for their support, to Nick Smith, our treasurer, for managing the group’s finances; To Sue Farr who steps down as Membership Secretary, to Andria Vidler for taking
on the membership role and of course to Clare Russell for her ongoing and tireless work for the group.
Thank you once again for entrusting me with the good ship MGGB this year, it has been an honour and a pleasure, and I appreciate your support. I’m looking forward to 2016 / 17 from the back-benches.
