Last week we held our inaugural online event

Dear Members,
I hope this finds you and your families well.
Last week we held our inaugural online event and based on the feedback from members and guests it seems to have been a successful experiment!
Sir Craig Oliver, former Director of Politics and Communication at No.10, was in discussion with Lord Hague of Richmond, former UK Foreign Secretary and leader of the Conservative Party, Mark Thompson, CEO of the New York Times Company, Ursula Burns, Chair of Veon and non-executive director of Uber and Exxon Mobil and Dave Lewis, CEO of Tesco. We explored the world with Covid-19 and topics ranged from geopolitics to US media dynamics, how businesses are innovating fast and rising to the challenge, and how leaders are shaping their thinking about the future. We all agreed that it’s a bit “too early to tell” but that we wouldn’t be going back to ‘normal’ anytime soon – if ever.
Thus, MGGB continues with our ‘new normal’: we are planning for a second online event on June 3rd at 19:30-20:45. I’ll be in touch with more information very shortly but for now please hold the time in your diaries.
It’s free, guests are very welcome and I do hope you can join us. Until then, stay safe and well.
